A certified course gives organisers confidence and gives every athlete a performance they can believe in.

Using the internationally recognised calibrated-bicycle method, I measure the shortest possible route competitors can legally take. The work begins before the ride: understanding the proposed route, access, turns, restrictions and operational needs.

Measurement continues into the reporting. Photographs, reference points and clear instructions help the organiser reproduce the measured route accurately on race day using barriers, cones and markings.

Grade A experience

From community races to championships.

I have measured more than 320 events of every scale—from small charity 5Ks and local running-club races to major UK road races and international championships. Whatever the size of the field, every organiser and every athlete deserves the same confidence in the distance. Every course receives the same care and attention to accuracy.

I am a World Athletics Grade A Course Measurer and Chair of the Association of UK Course Measurers. My experience includes the Great North Run and the road events at the 2026 European Athletics Championships.
