Speaking & Workshops

Real experience. Practical confidence.

A developing strand of interactive workshops and engaging talks that help people recognise opportunities, make decisions and see what becomes possible next.

For young people

Confidence built through participation.

People learn more when they are involved in the experience, recognised within it and given the chance to test their own thinking.

Drawing on 24 years in education and a varied portfolio career, I create practical sessions around employability, confidence, decision-making, applications, setbacks and opportunity.

I create a comfortable, relaxed environment where people can feel confident about contributing. Every session is shaped around those taking part, with opportunities to reflect and explore real situations in ways that feel relevant to them.

  • Job-readinessUnderstanding what employers need and presenting relevant evidence.
  • Tailored applicationsConnecting each application directly to the opportunity.
  • Decision-makingRecognising the choices that remain within personal control.
  • Setbacks and resilienceUsing lived experience to explore constructive next steps.

For adult audiences

Stories with humour, honesty and perspective.

A good story can make a room laugh, reflect and recognise something in itself.

My talks draw on education, sport, events, endurance challenges and the unexpected turns of a portfolio life. They are conversational, observational and grounded in things that genuinely happened.

Sessions can be shaped for community groups, professional gatherings and organisations looking for warmth, energy and a useful idea to carry away.

The qualities I bring

Communication grounded in people.

Warmth, clarity, humour and audience awareness have been central to my work in education, events and public presentation. They will shape every talk and workshop I develop.
